I happened to read this blog and thought – well which of my posts have been viewed the most? I hit my stats counter (something I rarely do!) and this is what came up:

As you can see, not really posts – but PAGES!
Back in September 2009 I started Practical Pages because I wanted to share my homeschooling resources and ideas. I wanted the blog to be practical, helpful, encouraging and free. It has been a joy to upload my pages and freely give away the downloads.
What about my posts then?
Now, I am not looking for stats, popularity, viewers, followers, shares, likes, tweets, hits … and so on. I am not on Facebook and don’t network with Twitter. I don’t post for comments and don’t even know what “formula” there is for generating a following. Don’t get me wrong, I love getting comments, but it seems that this blog is not personal or intimate enough for a flood of comment response. (Having said this, you are welcome to subscribe to my blog and have posts emailed or RSS feeds to your reader or home page! 🙂 )
But back to the top posts – I went back to my stats counter to scan through pages and look at the most popular posts, and down the list and scattered among the pages, these posts came up:

- Mom ~ The Narration Scribe – a post I often refer to in subsequent posts about narrations; some real help and advice on how to lead young oral narrators to become independent writers.
- Time-Saving Tips for Doing Lapbooks – very practical tips we use to do large lapbook projects.
- Memorizing Scripture the Simply Charlotte Mason Way – a highly recommended system to memorized scriptures that we use daily – and we’re still going strong!
- A Beautiful Home Atmosphere – inspiration for attitudes and activities to make the home a place of nurture and beauty.
- Advantages of Sketching Weekly – why doing Sketch Tuesday regularly has helped my children in their art.

It’s funny you mention this…popping over after googling for a notebook page I could grab last minute (NOT in a season of life to do much on my own with 6 littles at home all under age of 9) and found your blog. “OH….I should add her to my Free Resource Pages!” Then I look and there you are…already on there. Why oh why don’t I already check the resources I have? But I digress…anyway, clicked on your home page to see your posts and here you are with a whole blog full of great advice and motherly concerns that deserve hearing too…Will now be adding you to my blogroll of what I read when I have a spare moment…or should I say, while nursing an infant and multi-tasking? LOL

I don’t think I have yet commented.
I frequent your blog for ideas and encouragement. I think I may have found you via Jimmie some time ago. Your Sketch Tuesday artwork has given me joy and hope that I soon can implement more at home. I went to art school and I do miss dearly that part of myself that I’ve left behind. There was a day that we picked cattails and drew them. It lit my heart a glow to see my young ones draw along with me. We are a family that took our oldest out of the system and have been HSing the last 3 years. I’ve made shifts in what we do and slowly am incorporating more CM here. It does take time to let go and let God be God, and kids be kids, if you know what I mean. I’m chuckling as I type that. Thank YOU.

@MO, thanks for your kind comment! I am also grateful for those precious moments when we sketch together with our children – then we are really sharing the journey! And, like you, I keep learning more truths in homeschooling and how to raise Godly children. I believe the Lord uses homeschooling to teach me! 🙂
